Multiple Fights and Large Disturbance Reported at Six Flags Great America

Gurnee police responded to a large disturbance and fight at Six Flags Great America on Friday, June 15, 2018 apparently after two girls faced off at the theme park.

According to police, in-park officers took the girls into custody after they got into a fight about 10:30 p.m. Friday. Witnesses also reported other incidents in multiple areas of Six Flags Great America in Gurnee. Vandalism was also reported in the Southwest Territory area.

Initial reports concluded no injuries occurred at the fights, but paramedics were called to the scene to stand by. Initially, no weapons were reported to have been used, displayed, or recovered at the scene.

Lake County Sheriff’s deputies and Waukegan police were dispatched to assist Gurnee police officers.

Gurnee Police are investigating the incident. Any citizens with information about the incident, or with a video of any of the fighting are urged to contact Gurnee Police Department at 847-599-7000.
