Aon Center owners plan on building an observation deck with sweeping views of Millennium Park, a glass elevator with transit of 82 floors on the northwest side, and a Sky Summit tubular “ride” that will take 22 people over the edge of the roof. Aon Center owners hope the new observation deck would be completed by the year 2020 and generate $30-40 million annually.

The Aon Center was completed in 1974 as the Standard Oil Building.
