In the block of 900 Beau Drive about one block south of Thacker Street, the suspect stopped the truck, and bailed out of the truck. After a short foot pursuit, the suspect was in custody with Des Plaines police and multiple other local police agencies.

Des Plaines police announced they had one suspect in custody at the southwest of the 900 block of Beau Drive, which would be Beau Drive and Beau Court. The suspect was transported away in custody by police.

About the same time as the Vernon Hills to Des Plaines pursuit, there was also a pursuit for investigation of armed robber in the Robbins, Illinois area. That pursuit was also terminated, and it is unknown if the suspects were captured.
