A local mother who was a front-row eyewitness the tragic event, Chelsea Abate says that she and friends were dancing and having a good time … and everyone was happy.

Chelsea Abate initially thought the active shooter was in the crowd, but then saw the muzzle flashes from Mandalay Bay.

CBC’s The National: A Las Vegas shooting survivor describes how her mother shielded her and how she saw young victims in the wake of the deadly shootings. Madison Haines also describes how some people were laughing, unaware that the panic was real.
