Man Shot and Killed at Scullen Middle School Parking Lot on Mistflower Ln, Naperville

UPDATE: Naperville police say the male victim of a homicide was shot several times in the head, while waiting to pick up his son from an after school activity. The victim is reported to be a 37-year-old man from Oswego.

Naperville police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 7:18 p.m. Friday to a report of a crash with injuries or unresponsive man in a car at 2815 Mistflower Lane.

Police arrived to find an unresponsive man inside a car with the windows rolled down or shot out in or near a parking lot at Scullen Middle School near Mistflower Lane and 103rd Street.

Naperville firefighter/paramedics transported the adult to Edward Hospital, where he was pronounced dead from gunshot wounds. His identity was not immediately released by Naperville Police Department.

Polish students in a night class in Scullen Middle School were withheld inside the school for their safety, and to make sure all the students were accounted for immediately after the shooting. The students were released with no reports of any injuries or missing students.

Police are investigating the fatal shooting of the man as a homicide.
