Aurora Fire Ambulance Involved in Rollover Crash with Injuries at Ogden Ave and Aurora Ave, Naperville

Naperville police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 3:27 AM Tuesday to a report of a rollover crash with injuries involving an ambulance at Ogden Avenue and Aurora Avenue, Naperville. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a crash with injuries involved an ambulance rollover and a car crash into a pole.

The crash with injuries involved an Aurora Fire Department ambulance (Ambulance 8), which rolled onto the driver’s side. A dark or black sedan that hit the ambulance then crashed into a pole.

The Aurora Fire Department ambulance was not transporting a patient, and was returning to the fire station.

Naperville Fire Department responded with an extrication response and a three-ambulance response for injuries involving two firefighter/paramedics and the driver of the other vehicle that hit a pole.

There was extrication for the vehicle into the pole with damage and pole impact on the driver’s side of the dark or black sedan.

Aurora Fire Department A8 rolled onto the driver’s side. The paramedics were possibly extricated through a cut out windshield.

Heavy fog is affecting all of Chicagoland Tuesday morning. There is no word yet on whether fog was a factor in this crash.

The intersection of Ogden Avenue and Aurora Avenue is closed for extended accident investigation.

Southbound Ogden Ave diverted to Jefferson Ave and to Fort Hill Drive.

Westbound Aurora Ave blocked at Whispering Hills Dr.

Northbound Ogden Ave blocked at Feldott Ln.

Eastbound Aurora diverted to northbound and southbound Fort Hill Dr.
