Arlington Heights Man Accused of Hitting Woman with Dull Knife While She Was Driving

#ad▼

Arlington Heights police took a report last month when a woman came into the police station and said that a man, who was in her car, attacked her with a knife while she was driving.

The woman told police that Dinko P. Kralchev, 33, held a knife against her and struck her with the knife during an argument. The knife did not penetrate her skin because it was a dull knife. But the contact with the knife interfered with her ability to drive, caused her driving to become erratic, and resulted in bruising on her body.

Two children — a 10-year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl — were sitting in the back seat of the car, and were not injured.

Arlington Heights police say Dinko P. Kralchev, 33, of the 600 block of East Falcon Drive, Arlington Heights, was arrested November 15, 2016 and charged with …

1) aggravated battery with use of a deadly weapon,

2) domestic battery, and

3) two counts of causing a child endangerment.

The man and woman were described by police as family members. The car was not involved in an accident during the knife attack, according to police.
