While marching through the streets at the Macy’s Day Parade, the Prospect Marching Knights were captured playing Chicago’s Make Me Smile.

Make Me Smile was written by Chicago’s James Pankow, recorded in 1969 and released in 1970. The lead singer for the song was Terry Kath, son of former Arlington Heights Police Chief Rodney Kath.

The Summit arena name was changed to the Compaq Center in 1998, and is now the home of Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church. The 16,800-seat Lakewood Church Central Campus serves about 52,000 attendees per week.
