Arsonist Terrorists in Israel: Firefighters Battle Haifa Blaze as Over 50,000 Flee Wildfires

Some 50,000 people were evacuated from their homes in Haifa on Thursday according to Haifa municipality spokeswoman Or Doron, as wildfires continue to rip through the city.

Leaders in Haifa blamed arsonists for some of the fires that caused as many as 50,000 people to evacuate their homes.

Haifa is Israel’s third largest city. Firefighters soaked a gas station with water as the fire approached the property.

The fires have been burning in multiple locations for the past three days but intensified on Thursday, worsened by unseasonably dry weather and strong easterly winds.

A wildfire roared through parts of Israel’s third-largest city, forcing tens of thousands of people to evacuate their homes and prompting a rare call-up of hundreds of military reservists to join overstretched police and firefighters. (Nov. 24)
