Barrington Hills Man Identified As Man Found in Burning Car on West 21st St, Chicago

Authorities have identified a Barrington Hills man as the person found dead after a vehicle fire in the Pilsen neighborhood in the block of 600 West 21st Street Friday night.

The victim was identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office as James Gerage, age 43, of Barrington Hills.

James Gerage was found dead in the back seat of a burnt out car destroyed by fire in the 600 block of West 21st Street, Chicago Fire Department officials said.

The cause and manner of James Gerage’s death has not been released.

The Pilsen neighborhood is just west of Chinatown, and just west of the South Branch of the Chicago River and just east of the I-90/94 Dan Ryan Expressway.
