Mount Prospect police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 8:13 AM Friday to a report of car in a retention pond near 1780 Wall Street Mount Prospect, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics on arrival had no confirmation that there was a person in the vehicle. Divers entered the water with gumby suits.

By 8:25 a.m. police and firefighters made contact with the driver and learned that there were no additional occupants in the car. The driver was safe outside the vehicle.
All additional divers responding to the scene were returned by 8:25 a.m.
