Two Explosions, Gunshots, 41 Killed, 230 Injured at Istanbul Atatürk Airport

Journalist Andrew Finkel says it appears Turkish authorities were able to keep the attackers outside of the Istanbul Ataturk airport terminals.

Early reports of an explosion and gunshots at an Atatürk Istanbul Airport. Gunfire was reported heard from a parking garage. Initially, several people were reported injured.

Multiple ambulances responded to the scene and taxis were being used to transport injured people to hospitals.

Turkish authorities have reported that two suspects blew themselves up, just outside the perimeter where security detection devices are located. Later it was reported that three suicide bombers were involved in the attack. Turkish authorities initially reported that 10 people were killed. Two hours after the initial report, Turkish officials reported that almost 50 people were killed.
