VIDEO: At Least One Injured in Salem Township, Pennsylvania Gas Pipeline Explosion

Crews are responding to a natural gas explosion and well fire in Salem Township, Pennsylvania where at least one injury has been reported. The blast occurred Friday morning in Salem Township. The cause of the blast isn’t immediately clear.

Forbes Road Volunteer firefighters responded Friday morning to a natural gas pipeline explosion with a fireball that destroyed a home several hundred yards away, damaging at least three others and created intense heat. One homeowner was burned and injured as he ran down a road away from the fire.

The pipeline is one of four in the area owned by Texas Eastern. The blast involved a 36-inch gas line.
