Two blasts hit the departures terminal of Zaventem airport shortly after 08:00 local time (07:00 GMT) and at 09:00 local time (0:800 GMT) blast(s) hit Maalbeek metro station. The airport and the metro system have both been closed. Later Brussels mass transit was reported to be in a total lockdown.
