A Chicago woman died Thursday, March 24, 2016 after “an incident” on Wednesday at a gun range in west suburban Lombard.
Caitlin McAtee, 24, died as a result of “an incident” at the Article II Gun Range at 250 Cortland Ave. in Lombard, according to the DuPage County coroner’s office.
McAtee was pronounced dead Thursday at Level I Trauma Center Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.
Additional details, including her cause and manner of death, were not immediately available.
Lombard police and Article II aren’t talking.
Police are investigating, but there are no initial indications of foul play. No word whether the wounds that caused the death were from a self-inflicted suicide or an accident.
Article II was in the news just over one year ago when there was an extra alarm fire at the gun range on Friday morning about 9:35 a.m. on March 6, 2015.
