Theft by Deception, Pretending to Be ComEd; Arlington Heights Victim Loses $500

Arlington Heights police received a report about 3:31 PM Wednesday of a theft by deception in the block of 200 East Algonquin Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders called the victim claiming to be ComEd. The offender demanded payment of the victim’s bill via MoneyGram. The victim made payment via Money Gram for over $500.
