Mass Shooting: 15 Killed, Multiple Others Injured at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon

CNN’s Pamela Brown has the latest on the shooting at Umpqua Community College in Oregon.

A mass casualty incident involving 15 people shot and killed and more than 20 others injured is reported at Oregon’s Umpqua Community College on Thursday, according to Oregon State Police spokesman Bill Fugate.

The Oregon State Police confirmed that 15 people were reported killed in Roseburg, Oregon.

The incident is believed to have started at 10:38 a.m. PT when the first 9-1-1 call for help was received.

The shooter is believed to have been detained, he said.

Early in the incident there was a report of an active shooter at the Roseburg college campus.

There is a SWAT teams searching building-to-building as a precaution. The shooting occurred at Snyder Hall and continued at a science building.

Some witnesses are reporting not hearing any shots fired, and are suspecting some type of noise suppression was used with the gunfire.
