Wheeling police responded about 4:18 PM Thursday to an armed robbery East Manchester Drive and Harmony Drive Wheeling, IL. Police received a report that a victim was robbed, but no information about a weapon is available at this time.
Taken was a dark gray backpack.
The suspect is a known offender. He is described as a male/black, age 20, thin build, with braided black hair, a tattoo on his face. The suspect was wearing
black and gray jacket and blue jeans.
The subject was last seen near Jeffrey Avenue. The crime scene is located about two blocks west of Milwaukee Avenue where the Wheeling Fire Station is located.
Arlington Heights police assisted searching the area with a K-9 unit.
The crime is reported to have occurred at 4:18 p.m.
