4 Dead, 44 Hurt in Oklahoma State University Homecoming Parade Crash

A car careened into people who were watching an Oklahoma State University homecoming parade in Stillwater, Oklahoma

Stillwater police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 10:31 a.m. (11:31 ET), to a report of multiple people hit by a vehicle at Main Street and Hall of Fame. The incident occurred just hours before the school’s homecoming event.

Three adults were pronounced dead at the scene, while the fourth victim, a 2-year-old boy, died from his injuries at OU Medical Center Children’s Hospital, according to a Stillwater police statement.

Adacia Avery Chambers is suspected of DUI after she crashed her 2014 Hyundai Elantra into an unmanned police motorcycle and then into a crowd of spectators at Oklahoma State University’s homecoming parade. Chambers was immediately arrested at the scene.
