United Airlines and Alaska Airlines Aircraft Bump at LAX Tarmac

A plane arriving at Los Angeles International Airport and one departing bumped on Sunday night, but no injuries were reported. Brittney Hopper reports.

Los Angeles firefighters responded about 7:51 p.m. after to aircraft bumped each other on the ground. Alaska Airlines Flight 543 was being pushed back from Gate 66 when it hit a United Airlines Flight 1199 that had just landed after a flight from New Jersey and was on a taxi route on the way to its own gate.

A total of 169 passengers were on board the United flight with six crew members. All passengers have since deplaned with no injuries.

A total of 182 passengers were on board the Alaska Airlines flight with six crew members. The passengers departed on another aircraft for Portland at 9:37 p.m.
