Super Slow Motion-High FPS Camera: the Taser Strike Video of a Man in Slow Motion

#ad▼

“The Slow Mo Guys” give us an up close look at a Taser impacting human skin in super slow motion.

The Slow Mo Guys recently captured video of the discharge of an X26 Model Taser with a v2511 camera.

An extremely high-speed HD camera that shoots 28,500 frames per second shows barbs and confetti launching and impacting the skin.

The confetti is known as the anti-felon identification or AFID system. The taser weapon disperses confetti with serial numbers when it is fired and links the specific weapon to the scene wherever and whenever it is discharged.

Configurations for the Phantom v2511 camera started at $150,000 in the summer of 2014. There is now a v2512 model that is capable of 1,000,000 frames per second at reduced resolutions. The v2511 and the v2512 have the ability to shoot up to ISO 32,000 monochrome and 6,400 color.

Warning, slightly gross! Gav goes to Arizona to film a Taser being deployed at a human target in Super Slow Motion.
