Erickson explains to a group of young adults and car enthusiasts that his job involves responding to his boss and neighbors that call in complaints related to the group’s behavior at a Taco Bell parking lot. He explains that he was young once too, and that he doesn’t like writing people tickets. He also teased that cars were better in his younger days. The encounter has been shared as an example of positive engagement of citizens by a police officer.
