VIDEO: Veterans Arrival VNC Honor Flight Christian Liberty Academy Arlington Heights.
Honor Flight is an tour event that takes WWII, Korean and Vietnam veteran heroes on a free flight to Washington DC to visit their memorials (in addition to many other memorials). This tours honor their service and sacrifice for our Nation. There are 130+ Honor Flight Chapters around the Nation. VNC Honor Flight of Northern & Western IL is one of these.
The group spent Friday, Aug 21, 2015 in Washington, DC visiting the WWII, Iwo Jima, Korean War, Vietnam War & Lincoln Memorials as well as the Navy, Air Force, Women in the Military & Pentagon Memorials and then Arlington National Cemetery (including the Tombs of the Unknown). That evening, the group had dinner back at their hotel in Baltimore.
On Saturday, veterans were welcomed after their return flight to a ceremony at Christian Liberty Academy’s Grace Gym
