Wallet Theft at Mariano’s Fresh Market on West Half Day Rd Near Buffalo Grove Rd, Buffalo Grove

Buffalo Grove police received a report about 3:01 PM Monday of a wallet theft at Mariano’s, 450 West Half Day Road Buffalo Grove, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders stole a wallet valued at $100 out of a customer’s purse at Mariano’s.

The offenders used two credit cards in the wallet to purchase two gift cards for $1,000 and $10,000 at a Target in Vernon Hills.

The Target security department said the person who purchased the cards appeared to be with two other men.

The crime is reported to have occurred on Monday, August 17, 2015 between 02:20 PM and 03:00 PM. The elapsed time range including the time the crime could have occurred is 0:40 (hours: minutes).
