Palatine police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 9:24 AM Thursday to Harvard Drive and Illinois Avenue Palatine, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that an electrical box near the baseball diamonds at Fremd High School was smoking. The caller heard a bang and then saw a green electrical box smoking.
Damaged power lines were also reported near West Salt Creek Lane and Euclid Avenue in Arlington Heights.
