Fan Falls from Upper Deck, Dies at Atlanta Brave’s Turner Field in Atlanta

Greg Murrey died on Saturday after falling from the upper deck of Turner Field.

An Atlanta Braves season ticketholder died after falling from the upper deck of Turner Field during the seventh inning of Saturday’s nights New York Yankees-Atlanta Braves game.

The fan was identified on Sunday morning as Greg Murrey, age 60, by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office. An autopsy was scheduled for Sunday afternoon. He was reported to have fallen head first into the level below the location where he was leaning — below his season tickets seats.

Murrey was administered CPR and Advanced Life Support emergency medical treatment by paramedics at Turner Field where he fell. He was transferred on a stretcher to an ambulance. He was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
