Trading Halted on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE); “No Malicious Threat Suspected”

Trading has been halted on the New York Stock Exchange. CNN’s Alison Kosik reports; so far no malicious activity suspected.

Trading was halted on the New York Stock Exchange floor Wednesday due to an apparent technical issue. The interruption began about 11:30 a.m. ET / 10:30 a.m. CT stopped trading of all symbols

“NYSE/NYSE MKT has temporarily suspended trading in all symbols. Additional information will follow as soon as possible,” the NYSE said in a statement on its status page.

THE NYSE is investigating the cause of the “technical glitch” and no malicious intent was initially suspected.
