Fuel Tank Leak on Raupp Blvd Just South of Lake Cook Rd, Buffalo Grove – Hazmat Level I

Buffalo Grove police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 9:41 AM Friday to fuel spill at Lake Cook Road and Raupp Boulevard Buffalo Grove, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report from park district employees that a fuel tank fell off of a pickup truck and was leaking gasoline.

A Hazmat Level I response was dispatched to the scene. The spill is on the Lake Cook Road side of the bridge over the creek.

Buffalo Grove’s Battalion Chief upon arrival reported that a vehicle fuel tank dropped from a Ford F-150 pickup truck and was leaking fuel into the sewer.

Firefighter crews on a tower ladder truck, engine company, a squad and and ambulance were on the scene working to contain the leak.
