A priest assigned to the Misión San Juan Diego Catholic Church in Arlington Heights is facing child pornography charges, according to Cook County authorities.
Clovis Vilchez-Parra, 34, was charged with reproduction of child pornography and possession of child pornography (Class 2 felony) following an investigation by Cook County state’s attorney’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Vilchez-Parra is an associate pastor at the Misión San Juan Diego Catholic Church in Arlington Heights.
He is scheduled to appear for a bond hearing at the Rolling Meadows Cook County Circuit Courthouse Wednesday morning.
