Truck Driver Reports Man in a Toyota Shot Out Truck’s Passenger Window While Both Were Driving EB on I-94 Near the Lake Forest Oasis

Illinois State Police received a report 12:57 PM Thursday of a shot fired at a truck driver on eastbound I-94 north of the Lake Forest Oasis. Illinois State Police received a report that the driver of a gray Toyota — possibly a Camry — had a pistol out the window and shot at the passenger side of a blue semi-trailer truck tractor with a white trailer. The truck driver reported that the gunfire shot out the passenger side window of the truck.

The truck driver pulled into the Lake Forest Oasis and waited for police. The offender continued eastbound on I-94 toward the City of Chicago.

The driver was described as a male/black subject. No passenger was seen in the vehicle.

No injuries were reported. No confirmation on how far north the truck was as it was approaching the Lake Forest Oasis when the shot was fired.

The Lake Forest Oasis is just north of Route 60 and south of Route 176.
