Four Incumbents and Three Newcomers Expected to Run for Village Board Seats in Arlington Heights

Five candidates for Village Board of Arlington Heights as filed their petitions to run for the April 7, 2015 local consolidated election when mayors, village board trustees, city council members, park district board members, school district board members, library district trustees and fire protection district board members are elected.

Four seats are up for election.

Current village board members Carol Blackwood, Robin LaBedz and Michael Sidor have filed. Incumbent John Scaletta is also expected to file by the December 22 deadline.

Thomas Schwingbeck Jr. and D. Court Harris have also filed as newcomers. Harris is son of State Rep. David Harris. Bill Gnech is expected to file a petition for the election.

LaBedz was appointed by Mayor Tom Hayes to fill his position as trustee when he was elected mayor.

Blackwood and Sidor are running for second terms, and Scaletta would be running for his third term.
