Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies responded about 4:00 p.m. Wednesday a report of a road rage stabbing near Route 12 and Volo Village Road in Volo. Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene and discovered the victim with a stab wound to his leg near the femoral artery, according to a Lake County Sheriff release. The deputy applied a tourniquet to the leg until paramedics arrived. A laceration involving the femoral artery can “bleed out” a victim within minutes and cause death. In a mug shot, Schultz was show with a contusion on his right eye (“black eye”) and a bandage. It is unknown if the injuries occurred during the alleged road rage incident, during arrest or during some other incident.
