Elmhurst Police Find Victims with Gunshots Wounds, “Several” Dead at House on S Chatham Ave Near Crescent Ave

Elmhurst police responded about 6:45 p.m. Saturday to a well-being check at 610 Chatham Avenue in west suburban Elmhurst. Several family members were found dead in the two-story home.

Elmhurst police discovered “several family members deceased” inside the residence. Elmhurst firefighter/paramedics responded with at least three rescue ambulances to the scene.

There were early unconfirmed reports of at least four victims with gunshot wounds — possibly three homicide victims and one suicide victim.

“There is no immediate threat or danger to others at this time,” according to Elmhurst Police Chief Michael Ruth.
