Traffic Stop With Possible Gun Investigation on Elmhurst Rd Between Rand Rd and Euclid Ave Near Randhurst Village, Mount Prospect

VIDEO of traffic stop in possible gun investigation in Mount Prospect late Friday night near Randhurst Village — apparently an incident with a gun happened somewhere else and a suspect was stopped on Elmhurst Road between Rand Road and Euclid Avenue.

Mount Prospect police responded about 11:15 PM Friday near Randhurst Village south of Elmhurst Road and Euclid Avenue Mount Prospect, IL. Police had several units on a traffic stop investigating a possible man with a gun.

At least ten police squads from Mount Prospect and Prospect Heights were on the scene. Police were investigating at least one subject and a sedan in the curb lane of northbound Elmhurst Road, just north of Panera Bread. A male, appearing to be in his 20s, was handcuffed and transported in custody away from the scene. The sedan was searched and towed to a police holding area.

  1. How about the car accident at that intersection??? I swear there were two vehicles both with their front ends smashed in over there around 11PM, with firefighters and an ambulance on the scene…
