Chicagoland weather radar [LIVE PRECIPITATION TYPE RADAR] at 6:00 a.m. showed very light snow leaving the area — heading east over Lake Michigan. Snow accumulation overnight in Arlington Heights was 0.625 inch. Official Chicago/O’Hare snow accumulation for the season as of February 28, 2014 is 68.3 inches (record season is 89.7 inches/1978-79).

The next chance for snow is forecast to start about 3:00 p.m. with the heavier portion forecast to last from 4:00 p.m. Satruday until 6:00 a.m. Sunday, and light amounts until about 6:00 p.m. Sunday. Accumulation forecast for the rest of the weekend is 5.6 inches by 6:00 p.m. Sunday.
