At least two of the men were refused service at a bar on the 16th floor in the hotel because they were too intoxicated to be served. They apparently retaliated by activating the valve, which allowed water to pour out at a rate of 250 gallons per minute for about 10 minutes.

The approximately 2500 gallons damaged damaged two elevators and marble flooring, and some other items causing a total valued damage of $700,000.

Arrested on Sunday were Carl Koenemann, 25, of the 1200 block of East Harding Drive in Des Plaines, and Benjamin Nitch, also 25, of the 800 block of East Hillside in Barrington.

Daniel T. Maradei, of 4100 block of N. Woodlake Drive in Hanover Park was arrested today.

Koenemann and Nitch are out on bond, but are subject to electronic home monitoring
