On Route 53 southbound, there was a crash in the right lane near Palatine Road.

What’s wrong with this picture?

On northbound 53 a hit the inside median wall near Palatine Road, and was reported by firefighters as they were leaving a previous crash.

Buffalo Grove firefighters were checking on a cash at Route 53 and 83, and at Route 53 and Old McHenry.

Numerous crashes are reported within several communities. Schaumburg police were responding to about eight simultaneous crashes at about 7:30 a.m.

Wheeling police and firefighter/paramedics responded to a crash with injuries near Milwaukee Avenue and Hintz Road. Police shut down northbound Milwaukee Avenue while rescue operations were underway at Hintz Road. Traffic problems were also reported at Dundee Road and Milwaukee Avenue.

Non-injury crashes and traffic incidents are not reported in Arlington Heights because Arlington Heights police use secret military-grade encrypted radios. The Village of Arlington Heights also does NOT provide a live update of traffic conditions on streets within the village limits.

  1. Whoever is responsible for keeping Route 53 ice-free is doing a lousy job…I’ve been seeing issues all winter in certain sections.

Another part of my commute, Barrington Road, especially north of Route 72 last snowfall was also atrocious…looked like nobody had plowed it in hours.
