Arlington Heights police arrested a DUI driver 1:01 AM Saturday east of Algonquin Road and Goebbert Road Arlington Heights, IL. The driver was observed traveling eastbound in the curb lane of Algonquin Road while swerving to right and almost hitting the curb more that one time.
Police committed to a traffic stop and arrested the driver.
Police transported the driver in custody to Arlington Heights Police Department Headquarters. The driver’s white 2011 Chevrolet HHR was towed to a police holding area.
The driver was identified by police as Daniel J. Drake, age 29, of the 2200 block Vermillion Street, Lake Station, Indiana.
Drake was charged with DUI alcohol over .08 and improper lane usage.
Court date is March 5, 2014.
