VIDEO: Crash scene on westbound Rand Road between Jane Avenue/Beverly Avenue and Dryden Avenue in Arlington Heights.
Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 11:45 PM Saturday to a report of a personal injury crash at Rand Road and Jane Avenue Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report of a crash on Rand Road between Dryden Avenue and Jane Avenue/Beverly Avenue.
At least one person was injured in the crash. No word on whether any person was transported to a hospital.
A silver sedan and a red Jeep were involved in the crash. A police officer and an unknown male appeared to be inspecting the rear end of the Jeep — causing speculation that the Jeep was rear-ended and that the silver sedan then spun around. The silver sedan was facing the wrong way in the westbound lanes of Rand Road.
The cause of the crash has not been confirmed or released by police, and Arlington Heights police are investigating the crash.
One of the drivers was arrested DUI. At this time it is unknown which driver was arrested. There is no assumption that the man in the video was arrested; and no assumption is implied or intended by the video.
