Vehicle Burglary with Police Badge Taken on East Waverly Rd, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 5:01 AM Saturday of a vehicle burglary in the block of 500 East Waverly Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders burglarized a Honda Civic parked on a residential driveway.

Unknown offender(s) entered the UNLOCKED blue 2004 Honda Civic and removed a gray Old Navy coat valued at $80, and a black wallet, which contained a silver police badge (not an Arlington Heights Police Department badge) with no badge number, and a commission card valued at $100.

The crime is reported to have occurred between Friday November 8, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 5:00 a.m.

  1. wouldnt it be incredibly RELEVANT to tell us what agency the stolen badge is from????

    Say.. if a person was stopping women and flashing that agencies badge under shady circumstances, it might prevent a rape or worse to tell us what agency the badge came from.

    Telling us what agency it DID NOT come from seems to be to protect the AHPD reputation, but no valuable information is being offered to protect the public
