Suspicious Activity Near Hawthorne St and Belmont Ave, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police responded about 12:41 AM Sunday to a report of a suspicious incident in the block of 200 East Hawthorne Street Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that a male was seen walking westbound on Hawthorne Street. The subject appeared to be carrying a two-foot long light-colored tool — possibly with a yellow fiberglass handle. The subject ran when he saw the witness. The subject met up with two other subjects near Belmont Avenue and Hawthorne Street. Police arrived immediately, but the subjects were already gone.

The suspicious activity was reported to have occurred about 12:40 a.m.
