CNN’s Isha Sesay reports scientists have pulled a huge meteorite from the bottom of a Russian lake.

Scientists estimate that meteor weighed 10,000 tons when it entered the earth’s atmosphere, but when it was pulled out of the lake it weighed about 570 kg or .63 tons.

Experts believe the object plunged into Lake Chebarkul in central Russia on February 15, 2013 — leaving a 6m-wide hole in the ice.
