Palatine police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 11:21 AM Wednesday toan activated fire alarm and report of smoke at an apartment at 1 Rennaisannce Place Palatine, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report of an activated alarm, and then a call for smoke showing from a unit.
Firefighter/paramedics on the scene reported water flowing at the front door, and then reported a lot of smoke on the first floor.The source may be isolated to a stove in an apartment unit, but firefighters are checking for extension to other areas.
Firefighters were also immediately working on ventilation.
