Arlington Heights Weather Forecast: Cloudy, Warm Fall Day With Stiff South Wind; First Freezing Temps Monday Night

Chicagoland weather radar [LIVE RADAR] shows light precipitation moving west to east form the Mississippi River over much of Illinois. Freezing precipitation is also indicated on radar from northeast Iowa up to western Wisconsin and eastern Minnesota. Some sprinkles are possible, but more toward evening.

Satellite images show clouds over much of northwest Illinois, and all of Wisconsin, Iowa and Minnesota. Clouds are expected to remain thick through midnight. Cloud cover has kept the frost and freezing temperatures away from northeast Illinois, an area wide FREEZE is expected Monday night

Steady winds from the south increasing to about 16 mph at about 3:00 p.m. and gusty winds after 1:00 p.m. up to almost 30 mph. Winds will shift to the west about midnight, and will be steady at about 20 mph with gusts to about 28 mph through 4:00 p.m. Monday. Gusts are expected to stop about 6:00 p.m. Monday.
