Theft of Wallet on a Metra Train Between Chicago and Arlington Heights, Northwest UP Line

Arlington Heights police received a report about 8:15 PM Friday of a theft of a wallet on a Metra train destined for the downtown Arlington Heights station, 45 West Northwest Highway Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders took a wallet that was placed on the seat next to where the victim was sitting.

The victim was on a westbound train from Chicago to Arlington Heights when he placed his wallet down on a seat next to him. When it was time for him get off the train, he stood up and noticed his wallet was missing.

The wallet is described as a black Fossil wallet (valued at $15). Inside the wallet was $25 cash, an Illinois driver’s license, a Metra train pass, credit cards, debit cards, gift cards, and miscellaneous papers.

The crime is reported to have occurred on Friday, September 20, 2013 at 8:00 p.m.
