Apple Introduces Apple iPhone 5s, Apple iPhone 5c and iOS 7 Release Date

The most dramatic iOS makeover to date will be available next week. Apple’s Craig Federighi highlights the key changes and upgrades including: Control Center, iTunes Radio, and the camera, and photos app. Plus, Siri will be able to search Twitter.

Apple introduced two new Apple iPhones the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 5c. The iPhones are delivered with iOS 7. Upgrades will be available on September 18, 2013 for iPhone 4 and later, iPad 2 and later, iPad mini, and iPod touch (5th generation).


The newest Apple iPhone 5s will come in three different colors. The iPhone 5S will be available in gold, gray and silver.

Apple’s Phil Schiller: “The 5s is the most forward thinking phone we’ve ever designed.

System on a chip “A7” 64-bit — the first ever in a phone of any kind with desktop type architecture. Over 1 billion transistors with double the general-purpose registers and double the floating-point registers.

Camera:
Larger f/22 aperture.

15% larger sensor area

1.5 micron pixels are included, which are better because they let in more light and cause less noise in the picture.

The Apple iPhone 5s comes in new finishes, silver, gold, and space gray on a high grade aluminum frame.


Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide marketing, Phil Schiller, introduced a colorful new line of iPhones.

Apple 5c — as in “C” is for color — is made of one piece of plastic and one piece of glass. The structure is stee-reinforced.

4-inch retina display.

Apple A6 chip with great performance and battery life.

8 MP iSight camera

Backside illumination.

Includes a new camera app with live photo filters and 3x video zoom.


The newest feature in the latest iPhone 5s is a fingerprint sensor that can verify your identity.

500 ppi resolution

Scans sub-epidermal skin layers

360° readability

Privacy advocates are worried how Apple is handling the collection of the finger print. Is it store along with GPS?
