Palatine police received a report about 5:27 PM Wednesday of a theft of a wallet at Walmart, 1555 North Rand Road Palatine, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offenders approached the victim while in the soup aisle of the store and engaged the victim in conversation. Shortly after the subjects left, the victim discovered their black cloth wallet containing credit cards, $50 USC, and miscellaneous identification was missing from their shopping cart. The victim indicated the wallet was inside an open purse which was sitting in the shopping cart seat.
The crime is reported to have occurred on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 between 5:20 p.m. and 5:26 p.m.
