Bike Theft Chestnut Ave, Arlington Heights: One Of Two Offenders Detained By Victims, Other Caught Later By Rolling Meadows Police

Arlington Heights police responded about 7:20 PM Monday of a theft in the block of 400 North Chestnut Avenue Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that two offenders had just stolen two bikes from a driveway while the victims were inside a residence.

Stolen was a green Roadmaster Granite Ridge mountain bike valued at $100, and a blue Roadmaster Sport mountain bike valued at $100.

The crime is reported to have occurred on August 5, 2013 at 7:20 p.m.

Arrest was Steven R Hudson, age 19, of the 300 block of Char Banck, Wheeling. Hudson was stopped by the victims, and was charged with two counts of Theft by Arlington Heights Police Department.

Also arrested was Steven J Sagert, age 18, of the 200 block of Hale, Palatine. Sagert was stopped by Rolling Meadows PD at the Motel 6 in Rolling Meadows. Sagert was charged with two counts of Theft.

The court dates for the subjects are September 3, 2013.
