Man Arrested After Threatening Landscapers with a Sword Held Over His Head On Surrey Park Ln, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police responded about 8:47 AM Monday to an aggravated assault 1600 West Surrey Park Lane Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that a man was threatening landscapers with a sword. a Samurai type sword

Landscapers were working for a condo association nearby when the offender came out threatening them with the sword over his head.

Police arrived within minutes, but the man had returned inside his home. The suspect’s wife opened the garage, and retrieved the sword and were also able to apprehend the suspect.

Pioter B Holobud. a 45-year-old male of the 1300 block south New Wilke Road, was arrested.

He was charged four counts of Aggravated Assault and four counts of Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
