High Value to Replace: Theft of Key Ring and Keys on South Yale Ave, Arlington Heights

#ad▼

Arlington Heights police received a report about 3:01 PM Thursday of a theft in the block of 400 South Yale Avenue Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that a victim was removing a tree from the back of a Home Depot flat bed when a ring of keys was stolen — 15 residential keys and five vehicle keys.

The expense to change all the locks is over $1000.

A female offender asked if she could help the victim lift the tree off of the flatbed because it looked like the victim needed help. The offender freed her hands to help by putting her phone down on the flat bed next to the keys. She apparently picked up her phone and the keys when she left, because the keys were gone after the offender left.

The offender was described as a female/white in her 50s, 5’8″ 115 LBS with blond hair and green eyes.

The crime is reported to have occurred on July 11, 2013 at 3:00 p.m.
